Who is responsible for your data

Leon Postma B.V. (“we”, “us”) is the controller (verwerkingsverantwoordelijke) for the processing of personal data described in this statement. We are reachable at the contact details above.

What data we process and why

Contact form. If you use the contact form on this website, we process the data you provide: your name, email address, subject, and your message. We use this data only to answer your enquiry and, where relevant, to prepare and perform an engagement. Legal ground: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or, once an engagement starts, performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep enquiry correspondence no longer than 2 years after the last contact, unless an engagement follows from it.

Client documentation. For engagements we process client contact details and the documents shared with us in the course of the work. This processing is governed by the agreement and any NDA concluded with the client. Legal ground: performance of a contract. Retention follows the agreed terms and statutory bookkeeping obligations.

Hosting and server logs. This website is hosted by Strato (STRATO AG, Berlin, Germany). For technical operation and security, the hosting provider processes server logs (such as IP address, date and time of requests, browser type). These logs are kept for a limited period of up to 14 days for security and abuse prevention. Legal ground: legitimate interest.

Email. Email for this domain is hosted via Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd). We use it to correspond with (prospective) clients and relations. Legal ground: legitimate interest / performance of a contract. Microsoft acts as processor (Art. 28 GDPR) on the basis of the Microsoft Product Terms / Data Processing Agreement. Personal data may be transferred to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Cookies

This website does not use tracking or analytics cookies and does not share data with advertising networks. No consent banner is therefore required.

Where strictly necessary cookies are used (for example to secure the website or to keep a contact form session working), these are limited to what is technically necessary. The WordPress administration environment uses functional cookies for logged-in administrators; these are not placed for visitors to the website.

You can delete or block cookies at any time via your browser settings.

Third parties

We do not sell or rent your data. We share data only with:

  • Hosting provider (Strato, STRATO AG) — for making the website available;
  • Email provider (Microsoft 365, Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd) — for email correspondence;
  • Third parties engaged for the execution of an engagement — only insofar as necessary and, where required, on the basis of a processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).

Where personal data is stored outside the European Economic Area, this occurs only where an adequate transfer instrument applies (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can exercise these rights via leon@leonpostma.eu.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl) and to go to court.

Security

We have taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access restrictions and encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).

Register of processing activities

A register of processing activities as meant in Art. 30 GDPR is maintained by Leon Postma B.V. The processing described in this statement is included in that register.

Changes

We may update this statement. The version above is the currently applicable version. Significant changes will be published on this page.
